Hey guys. I need some suggestions on pricing for my NFT collection.
Long story short, I run a nonprofit assisting an Amazonian indigenous tribe called the Siekopai, and I live with them half the year. They are the oldest surviving Ayahuasca drinking tribe in existence currently. Their culture is rapidly disappearing, and there are only two remaining Ayahuasca masters of their culture, respectively 97 years old and 121 years old. Augustin, 97, is a highly revered shaman and the last medicine song singer of their culture. When he dies, with him dies a shamanic knowledge and practice developed over thousands of years by their culture.
Augustin likes to draw. In fact, 10 years ago, i encouraged him to start drawing because his hands were starting to shake. It helped him stabilize the muscles in his hands, and he found his favorite way to pass time. If he is not fishing in the river, or drinking Ayahuasca, he is drawing pictures. He has the mind and innocence of a three year old in the body of a 97 year old master shaman, and you can see it in his drawings.
At some point I had 1000+ of his drawings. And then, a flood happened in my house (caused by Augustin himself) and nearly all of them were destroyed entirely. 80 remain. These last 80 drawings are a very special authentic peek into the world of indigenous Ayahuasca and tribal shamanism.
I’m constantly doing community assistance and rainforest regeneration in their area, and somebody gave me the idea to turn his drawings into NFT’s to raise funds to assist the community.
So guys, I really need some help. This guy is really special to me, and so is this tribe. In my opinion, his drawings belong in a museum, as they are that scarce and unique. However, on the other hand, some people will look at these and just think a 3 year old drew them 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ I can see how I could attribute a lot of value to these drawings where another person may not.
Mainly, I want suggestions on pricing his individual drawings from the community. Additionally, I’m open to all feedback and advice to strengthen the NFT project, as I am not the most savvy person with Crypto, however I feel compelled to release this project of it could possibly assist our community assistance projects and create awareness.
