I’ve read all about NFT’s and note that there’s not a lot of difference between the membership and subscription models currently used by big brands to access special offers, and NFT’s to do the same - other than ease of accessibility under the NFT model. This means to me that the big brands still hold the power - and as such - it completely cancels claims that NFTs help the little guy escape the middleman controlling the narrative and rules. Not only that, but the platforms that allow NFT creators to mint their token, add a whole new layer that never used to exist, which also act as a middleman because they set and control the rules that control how creators can use the platform. NFTs are not just about profit and loss to creators. It’s also about marketing gurus creating the illusion that creators gain power in marketing their goods and controlling the funds when they really don’t….because they still need the middleman to do so. The only thing that makes any credible difference to the day to day life of creators is that one type of middleman is being replaced by another.
